Note: Keep in mind I watched the drama and wrote this review before the Kim Hyun Joong scandal.

Do you ever get really hooked on something but then after a while you go

Thats basically how I felt aboutPlayful Kiss.

I got really into it at the beginning, even though it was one of those typical clich矇 school Girl Meets Boy dramas. I guess part of the reason for that was Hyun Joong, since I find him very attractive. The female lead on the other hand is a piece of work. Wow, what an overly obsessive girlfriend. Seungjo always treated her like shit and she kept running after him, which frankly speaking isn’t something you should promote on television. Hani was submissive at all times and not able to move on even after being rejected a thousand times. I mean.. common girl, get yourself together.

Even though the plot was really predictable I enjoyed how humorous Playful Kiss was. I laughed a lot while watching and I’d recommend this drama to everyone who enjoyed the drama Heartstrings. The concept is quite similar.

I’ve never been pleased more with the ending of a korean drama. I Hear Your Voice is one of the few dramas that has been blessed with good writing. The episodes consistently stayed entertaining and exciting. I can’t tell you how many dramas I have watched that started out being amazing but after episode 8 it all went downhill *cough* Cheese In The Trap *cough*. The love story between the two main leads was amazingly well done. I remember desperately wishing to find a guy who loves me as much as the male lead loved the female lead.

The characters were unique. I even ended up feeling pity for the bad guy who I used to despisewhen I started watching. I wasn’t expecting much from a mind-reading guy who tries to win over his One True Love for 18 episodes but lOOK AT ME NOW LOVING EVERY GODDAMN THING ABOUT THIS DRAMA.

Oh, and I think it’s also worth mentioning what a great job the writers did when it came tobuilding up different relationships and destroying your heart in every possible way(嚝栽)嚝*:嚚伐

If you’re a romantic like me, then this drama is definitelyfor you (even if you are not a romance fan, you will be… trust me!!).
